Our Story

We are a small local bone carving business that has been in operation for more than 30 years. We are fourth-generation carvers. Our Father delegated the work to two older brothers, who in turn delegated it to the nephews and myself. We began in the traditional markets of Oahu's international market place and have now extended to The Big Island. Traditional cultural art is the inspiration for our carvings and designs. We do everything by hand, from the stringing to the real piece of art. Polynesian bone carving was traditionally used to pass down heirlooms within the family bloodline. 

We are inspired by traditional cultural designs and ancient stories from our forefathers. We are originally from Tonga's small town of Ha'ateiho on the Pacific Ocean. Our mission and job is to communicate our tales, but more importantly, to cultivate our cultures and customs. 

Because it is made of traditional art and symbols, the meanings of each piece are carved with the sole intention of assisting others in finding their "keala or pathway" in life. Although we adhere to our culture's authenticity, we are always breaking through design barriers and creating original rooted designs based on inspiration to heal and protect. We generated new designs using a new and modern technology. Despite the fact that the majority of the designs are cultural references, any customized items can be manufactured. We take pride in our designs and continue to expand them with poise and elegance, confident that we are the best on the islands.
